10/29/20 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to this week's edition of ZoomBEE!!  The Cherry Creek Lane Quilters have been meeting virtually for the past 7 months.  Thank you to Deborah for scheduling and recording the notes for our gatherings.  Joy served as hostess this week, since Hurricane Zeta made it impossible for us to have our In-Person meeting at Ella's.  :o((

UPCOMING EVENTS...

NEXT WEEK'S meeting (11/5) will be LIVE and IN-PERSON at Ella's house.  Weather permitting, as we will be outside.  The particulars are basically like last week's plan with ONE EXCEPTION!!!  The meeting will begin at 1:00 PM!!!

Please bring the following items:

Your most comfortable face mask, a drink, your chair, and hand sanitizer.  Remember to bring LOTS of show and tell.  If you get cold easily, you may want to bring a quilt to wrap up in!  :o))

TODAY'S GROUP PHOTO...

SHOW AND TELL...

Britt:  Showed her  lovely coiled cotton cord basket and a very nice Lutheran donation quilt which was quilted with free hand swirls. The backing was fabric Britt purchased in Geneva many years ago!  Shared her sweet coiled coasters. Showed a photo of the tree commission quilt.

Urgent UPDATE from Britt!!!  The rope coasters DO NOT protect your furniture!!!  She found out the hard way.  :o((

Deborah: Grandkids loved the pumpkins stuffed with arts and crafts supplies.  Made a couple of bats to go for decorations.

Joy: Made a cute birthday gift pillow for the Junior Quilter with a big F on it for her name. Showed Maggie’s gorgeous  quilt on the long arm!

Lynda Mac: Working on a table runner using burgundy, chocolate brown, pink and cream fabrics. Shared some lovely folk art fabric.

DeeDee: The beautiful  radiance quilt is back from Suzann’s. Close up of quilting. Next goal is finishing UFOs. Goal is to do one UFO every two weeks! Using up fabric for backing.

Ella and Debbie:  Ella and Debbie had fun exploring the new Keepsake Quilting/Pineapple Fabrics shop.

Ella finished one top. Has finished several donation quilt tops.  Found backing fabric for three quilts at Pineapple! Found a border for the black and red and gray quilt.

Debbie went to Sisters, Oregon.  Visited the Stitching Post Quilt store. The store was out of they kits Debbie wanted but she found fabric at Pineapple Fabrics to make small wallets. Found lots of cute fabric, notions,  and patterns at Pineapple.
DeeDee pointed out Stitching Post has you tube tutorials.

Candy:  Loved shopping at the new Keepsake Quilting/Pineapple Fabrics. Found a cool panel on the fabric by the pound table. Bought a new diamond ruler.

Cheryl K:  Working in the garden and getting plants ready for winter.  Showed a lovely panel of fabric that makes four blocks. Thinking about what to make with this fabric.

Linda H:  Used her retirement gift card at Pineapple! Will show the fabrics next week.

Ruth S:  Welcome back to NC!  Ruth will bring a tub of fabrics from Donna to our meeting next week.  Will bring donation quilts to show next week.  She showed the sewing machine shirt her DIL bought for her.

Maggie: Showed a Christmas tree and Christmas table runners.  Had a fun trip to the mountains.  Stopped at a fabric store in Asheville and in Fletcher, NC. Founds an awesome psychedelic cat panel.

Ruth B: Loved getting her black and white quilt back from Joy.  Has squared it up and now needs to add binding. Shared a photo of the Sea Glass wall hanging quilt.  Pattern available HERE on Etsy and there is a CLASS, too.

Carol: Lost WiFi at end of meeting and missed her turn for Show and Tell.  She has been working on Holiday ornaments.

Until next time...
BEE sew happy!!
