11/29/20 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilt Bee!!  Ten quilting friends enjoyed a couple of hours together before going our separate ways, but errands, chores, and work were waiting.  Thanks go out to Deborah for continuing to schedule time for our little slice of Zoom pie!  (No meeting next week due to Thanksgiving and I've got pie on the brain... Pumpkin, to be exact. Yum!)  Special thanks to Dee Dee for filling in as today's hostess.  She did a great job of keeping us on task!  Thank you to Joy for capturing photos, so that we can look back on the day's proceedings, staring with...

Joy:


Shared adorable photos of The Junior Quilter receiving her sweet pocket pillow.




Deborah:



The pink and gray baby quilt is pinned basted and ready to quilt.



Carol:



Finished Christmas decoration and is excited for her grandkids and others to see it. Found a bag of half square triangles. Plans to use an hour glass layout. Joy is almost finished with Carol’s Covid 3800+ piece Postage Stamp quilt! Joy shared a sneak peak of this quilt.





Lynda Mac: 



Making apron gifts.  Showed an apron with Mexican folk art fabric for her granddaughter.




Ella:



Made a Christmas table runner from Missouri Star Quilt pattern.

Ruth S:



Thinking about project ideas for Pineapple Fabric. Granddaughter loved the fabric from Pineapple for tote bags.


Candy:



Made a second turkey and shared a photo of how she displayed it. Using the Diamond Rects ruler from Studio 180 Designs.  Made a beautiful blue and yellow baby quilt using this ruler.








Ruth B: 




Sewing on binding on black and white quilt.


Maggie:


Sewing binding on Joanna’s donation quilt...trip around the world. Making more table runners.







DeeDee: 



Showed Quilters Select Free Fuse product. It’s a fusible powder.   Made a pillow for a friend’s cat...forgot to take a photo.  Made five coasters to go with living room colors. Making red and green mug rugs for neighbor. Showed a fabulous scrap jewel box Quilt from Bonnie Hunter.  Made a basket of adorable chickens and brought some cheer to us by showing the various personalities of the chickens determined by their wacky beaks.
