Since mid-December, members looked forward to the trial run of our (Virtual) Sew Day. Thank you to Deborah for setting up the meeting weeks before the events, so that everyone could plan accordingly. Special thanks to Dee Dee for suggesting that we give this a try. We're SEW glad that you and Joy tested the waters for us! Fifteen quilters gathered throughout the day, even some who hadn't planned to attend stopped by to spend time with friends who were all reeling from the morning's news.

Joy: quilted niece’s wedding quilt Using Circlelord Swirls pattern. Starting on pink month for Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Joy’s doing a 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge on her blog. Cheryl K: put Asian quilt top together...would like ideas on how to quilt it. Plans to use beige, blue brown, etc to make a crazy log cabin quilt.

DeeDee: Quilting the Jewel Box quilt that she started a few weeks ago. Doing straight line quilt:
Britt: working on donation quilt from Candy. Has been working on commission quilt. Working on Sweet Kisses quilt today. Britt shared Judi Madsen’s A1 quilting ruler...has a cool edge for holding.

She has been saving fabric for about a year to make an “I spy quilt.” Ruth puts a neat I Spy poem on the front of the quilt. Also working on Crazy Christmas Tree table runner.

What a wonderful day! Members made progress on projects, while feeling connected to our little group of friends. Thank you, again, Dee Dee for suggesting we give this a try. The event was SEW successful that we are already planning another.
