Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  Thank you to DeeDee for hosting today's (virtual) meeting.  Thanks also to Deborah for scheduling our Zoom time.

Group photo...

The early edition:

And...

The late edition:

Show and Tell...

Candy:  shared the lovely unicorn quilt that she made for her granddaughter. Candy used a lot of fabulous echo quilting on the quilt. Made a wonderful excavator quilt for her grandson with a photo of her grandson as the driver.

Gayle: is currently machine quilting her lovely Dresden Plate quilt. Gayle’s friend who hasn’t quilted in 20 years saw the Dresden Plate quilt and loved it!   Gayle taught her how to make the Dresden Plate and Irish Chain blocks. So now Pasty is on her way to making a lovely purple and blue Dresden Plate quilt. Candy and Gayle went to the mountains and had a fabulous time quilting in the morning and exploring the mountains in the afternoon.

Joy:  Britt quilted Joy’s fantastic birthday quilt. Starting Candy’s quilt today.

DeeDee: last week after our meeting DeeDee visited Maggie to see her collection of quilts and was inspired!  DeeDee plans to make a summer weight Trip Around the World  quilt for her friend LD. Shared some Kaffe fabric of funky birds…may make a purse out of this wonderful fabric.

Maggie:  showed a wonderful table runner using the Potting Shed block. Shared a stunning star shaped table topper made from diamond blocks. The pattern is based on Chevron diamonds.

Deborah: washed the Cherrywood fabrics by hand.  May run them through the washing machine with a color catcher due to lots of dye run off. Looking forward to making some quilted pillow covers

A better photo arrived from Deb:

Britt: Joy and Britt did a quilting swap, so that Joy could quilt all the Blooming Nine Patch quilts (except Cheryl B's!) Britt plans to give this Blooming Nine Patch to her niece.  Working on a quilting for Ruth B.

Lynda: working on the nine patch.  Lynda shared information about the Apple 6 Watch which has many health monitoring features including measuring  O2 levels and fall monitoring .

Until next time...
Thank goodness for Zoom!!
