6/17/21 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  This week, we enjoyed a virtual bee hosted by Dee Dee.  Thank you to Deborah for scheduling the meeting and to Dee Dee for herding cats.  :o))

Show and Tell...

DeeDee:  finished the vibrant donation quilt.  Plans to do the backing today. Had a good time in Tennessee mountains. Found some quilt shops and the largest flea market!  Found a flower basket quilt top….it was cheater cloth but oh so lovely!  DeeDee plans to use it as a backing.  Since she was just back from vacation, she was extremely tired this morning.

Lynda: having fun in the garden. Working on the Irish Chain quilt.

Deborah:  just back from the mountains, not working on anything yet. Plans to start making some pillows using hand dyes from Cherrywood Fabrics.

Ruth S: making lovely coil chair mats using a strip set from Pineapple fabrics. Ruth is folding the fabrics over Bosal.

Linda H: not much sewing lately, but it hasn't affected her sense of humor.

Joy: Making a quilt for her nephew with 3D flying geese and a lovely mountain scene.  A friend sent Joy a beautiful happy meal pack of purples. Shadowed a new book called Scrap School. Received a thank you prize of 2 Block Magazines for participating in Hands to Help.

Britt: made a very nice LWR donation quilt from a photo of a Connecting Threads pattern.

Maggie:  visited the mountains and stopped at three quilt shops on the way back. Showed the lovely fabrics she found from each store.
Put borders on the lovely quilt with 12 inch blocks and Irish chain sashing. Shared a cute charm on point quilt that Maggie and Sheila made together. Showed a few  lovely quilts that Britt quilted for Maggie.

Carol: not much sewing lately.  She's been taking care of her elderly dog.

Spot an error in today's post?  Please let Joy know right away.

Until next time...
