7/27/21 - NT Nights LIVE

Welcome to the July meeting of the NT Nights Quilt Group!!  Seven quilters joined our outdoor adventure.  Our editor fell down on the job (what with the move and all.)  There wasn't time to add much in the way of additional words to fill out this post.

Here's this month's group photo:

Joyce:

Kirsten's kitchen renovation will soon be coming to a close.  Hoping that means she will be sewing again and catching up on quilt projects:

Karen didn't have any Show and Tell, if memory serves me correctly.  She worked on one of her Hexi Jingle Balls during the meeting.  Sadly, there was no corresponding photograph:

Joy finished burying the thread tails...

 ... On Carol's gorgeous quilt:

Carol

Maggie...

... Brought a new quilt top to share:

After questions from the peanut gallery, she sent the following:

The quilt top I showed last night was made from this layout

I like her plain white background versus the multi color I used ....
but use what you got right?

But, WAIT!!  There's more...

Table runners...

... And this darling mini quilt:

Dawn...

... Spent some time with her sister:

... And a young relative who wanted to quilt, too:

Fabulous job and a happy little quilter:

Joy brought along the tiny table runner she made last week for the July TABLE SCRAPS Challenge over at The Joyful Quilter blog:

Sherry wasn't able to attend the meeting, but she sent the following photos...

... And had this to say, "I wish I could be with you but I've been asked to sub for the museum chair at a meeting tonight. So can't make it. I wanted to share some photos of a quilt I finally finished for my stepson and his wife. Have a nice evening. - Sherry"

She found the pieced stars in an antique store many years ago. She and her mother-in-law appliqued them onto the blocks and then Sherry hand quilted the whole thing.  It had been sitting in a box, waiting for a border for years. Covid made her finish it!

Editor's Note...

Sorry for the delayed and subpar post.  SEW hoping you can all forgive me.

Until next time...
Happy quilting!!!
