8-5-21 CCLQ Zoom Bee

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week the group met via Zoom with Candy as our hostess. We missed Joy who was moving today!  We also missed other members who could not attend due to travel or other commitments.  Deborah was our substitute blogger today, so apologies if  she didn’t get all the photos of everything.

Today we had nine quilters.

Deborah was working in her office space today so shared this quilt from 2002 entitled, “Humidity.”

Deborah also shared the beginnings of another sofa pillow.  Hopefully she’ll have it completed by next week.

Carol…

Carol made some lovely placemats for her daughter in law.

Carol is also making some cool baseball themed quilts for her grandson and his best friend.

Maggie did not have a show today but was excited to tell that she’s starting a kitchen remodel soon!

Candy reported that she’s working on a binding on a quilt.

DeeDee….

DeeDee returned from vacation at the beach and showed this lovely Trip Around the World quilt that she made for her friend. DeeDee is taking a class at Calla Lilly and will have a reveal about that project in the future. DeeDee shared information about Fabric Cafe.Com, a website that has lots a free patterns suitable for donation quilts.  https://www.fabriccafe.com/

Ruth B….

Ruth enjoyed a visit from her grandson this week.  They had a wonderful time going to the NC Museum of Art and the visiting the Wallace Simpson Whirly Gigs Park in Wilson, NC.  https://www.wilsonwhirligigpark.org/

That’s all for now.

Until next time….happy quilting!!!

  1. Fabulous post, Deborah! Sorry to have missed the meeting, but sometimes life gets in the way of our quilting. Today was one of those days for me.
