8/12/21 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  We were hosted by Candy, online, as she is still battling her RSV.  10 quilters were in attendance.  Thank you to Deborah for setting up the meeting and to Candy for keeping the meeting going.

Today's group photo.  Before...

... And after "The Ruths" joined us:

Show and Tell...

Carol: working on embroidery projects for Christmas. Also working on baseball quilt for grandson.

DeeDee:  shared the Trip Around the World quilt with nice quilting.  DeeDee used flannel for the batting which was perfect.  Plans to make a cat quilt for a friend who is having surgery.

Candy: completed the binding on a very pretty donation quilt made by Ella. Started quilting the brown triangle bed runner.

Lynda: was disappointed with the Irish Chain Quilt.  Packed it up and put it away. Britt, the “ quilt whisperer” quickly shared some inspirational patterns for Lynda who started a lovely Carpenter’s Square with florals.

Gayle:   Made a beautiful wall hanging of a bouquet of flowers.  Is going to be in a craft show in November at Southern Village. Fall Arts on the Green..Nov. 21st!

Ruth B: enjoyed the Quilt Expo last week.  Shared some binding fabric she purchased for the Twirling in Reverse quilt. Starting to work on UFO’s.

Ruth S: daughter-in-law gave her a lovely rock painted with tiny quilt squares. Working on the dragonfly quilt. Adding some sparkle to the dragonfly wings.

Maggie: shared a dramatic “Feathered Friends” quilt a long quilt which will have one more border.  Shared an adorable light house and boat donation quilt and a sweet donation quilt with whales and ahoy fabric. Working on a North American wild life table runner.

Deborah : made one more pillow with Cherrywood fabrics and cotton/linen. Ordered cute Halloween fabric from Pineapple Fabrics.

Joy: joined us from her new sewing studio. The only quilts thing she’s done is to buy a quilt magazine. Found an interesting scrappy quilt pattern.

Editor's Note...

Thank you to Deborah for today's meeting notes!  My move delayed the release of this post.  Thanks for being SEW understanding.
