12/16/21 CCLQ @ ZoomBee

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting!

Thanks to Gayle hosting for Ella (we miss you and send hope and prayers your way).  Planning on a Virtual Sew Day on January 1st 2022.  Wow are we just zipping into the 20's decade or what.   Keep positive and enjoy the Holidays.

Carol has started on a new Baby Quilt and showed the Thistle block.  It's a lot less frustrating than attempting to figure the "features" of Zoom.  But we sure appreciate her diligence.

Lynda Mac reported the "cotton blanket" shipment to New Zealand arrived without issue and the Family has to wait till Christmas to enjoy it.  Lets hope the next mailing to Seattle continues the trend.  Brynn's "cotton blanket" is still in the works,  guessing it might just get hand delivered.  No pics but great story about the mischief the "Elf on a Shelf" is getting into now that he's down from the shelf .... piling books,  Angel Wings in flour, driving around with Barbie in a convertible (not so crazy with the NZ weather).

Linda H. is about to get her Christmas Tree standing and trimmed.

Maggie busy making drawstring gift bags and fabric ornaments.

Finished putting together the bordered squares made from a matching Jellyroll & Charm pack.

Ruth B. is still dealing with email technical issues after having been hacked.   But it didn't keep her from seeing her DC daughters posting of their festive and "Pretty in Pink" Christmas tree.  She is busy finishing up pillow cases to go along with her already gifted Black and White Quilt.

Britt is far ahead of most of us in getting a Christmas Tree up and decorated.   A lovely tree skirt to finish.

Also getting some piecing done on swap blocks for Joy's Sweet Kisses quilt in exchange for some half square triangles Joy is making.

No picture of her Coffee Mug but she has the one that says "I Tried"  ... examples from web.

Gayle's sporting a new hairdo that is catching the eye of fellow gentlemen dinners.  But it may have been her boots and not the hairdo ... either way it left her with a big smile.

She is in baby quilt mode for a couple of 5th Generation nieces that are both expecting.  The baby boy quilt is on the design wall.  Waiting to hear if she needs another boy or girl quilt.

Until next week keep up the Holiday Cheer!
