12/2/21 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!

Thanks to DeeDee for Hosting this zoom meeting.  We'll be zooming for the next few months.

Carol has been working on cone shaped Christmas toppers very cute "beady little eyes".

Lynda Mac is finishing things up and reflecting on a very productive year making 9 tops and completing 7.

Ruth S. is also finishing up gifts for her extended family and looking forward to a Grand Party soon in Boston.  She's about to begin another face Portrait quilt.  We all can't wait to see how she decides to handle crew cut hair.

Ruth B. has got her donation baby quilt pieces put together.  And told us of her trip to Virginia where the big excitement at the Holiday Market where secret service agents cleared space for VP Kamala Harris to also shop and enjoy the market.

Gayle wow'ed us with here interpretation of Lori Holt blocks made from her simple shapes ... with a few of Gayle's own creation.  The Lori Holt fabrics look wonderful with the mini-zigzag applique stitching.

DeeDee made a Pirate floor pillow "Shiver Me Timbers" to go along with another quilt.  She also showed her Christmas Cardinals throw.

What do Shiver me timbers mean?

The phrase `shiver me timbers' is a comic oath -- `by and large' ... The site's glossary says "shiver me timbers" is "like saying, `Oh, My!' like my legs are shaking." By this thinking, "timbers" is either a slang word for legs, or a literal reference to wooden legs.

Cheryl K. is planning to hang her Butterfly quilt replacing the Birds.  She continues on the mend but is getting a bit stir crazy with the boot ... but still smiling.

Candy is working on little Holiday Block gifts and some gift bags for heMassachusetts trip.

Maggie is doing binding on a small carpenter star and making a cross stitch stocking cuff for her future daughter.

Until Next Time!
