1/20/2022 CCLQ @ ZoomBee

 Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting!


Joy was on for just a minute to say hello then Ella joined.



Carol:  finished the “tiny blocks” quilt top and plans to add a red and white gingham binding. Fussy cut a bug panel from Pineapple Fabrics and made a cute quilt top for her granddaughter.



Cheryl: shared an interesting layout on her design wall using tan, dark brown, and cream half square triangles and squares.  Plans to make a queen size quilt for the guest bedroom.


Maggie:  Finished ten Lemoyne Star blocks and plans to make more. Also started a snowman quilt.  Finished the circular heads using a log cabin method. Plans to add the faces and hats next using appliqué.
 


Lynda:  finished the second brightly colored Calico Cat quilt.  Working on de-cluttering with the 2022 De-Clutter Challenge.  Ordered a new cordless Panasonic iron.





DeeDee: almost finished with the batik donation quilt top. Also working on de-cluttering.


Gayle:  had fun celebrating her birthday in Wilmington. Started a sailboat baby quilt with colorful fabrics.  Plans to add borders and appliqué sailboats on the border.  Finished quilting the Dresden Plate Quilt. Also working on de-clutter her painting and crafts room.






Candy: finished elephant baby quilt using serpentine stitches in a diagonal pattern. Started the taupe and blue quilt.  Shared the pattern and reported that it’s sewn together in columns.


 
Britt: started the Bonnie Hunter 2016 Leader and Ender challenge.  Has made quite a few hour glass blocks. Britt is participating in both the Ravelry and Nimble Thimble UnBegun Challenges.



Linda H:  is interested in Candy’s new pattern. Plans to continue to work on the Virginia quilt.


Ella: joined in from her sewing room!  Ella is working on a lovely blue and white quilt. 

Ruth B:  Happy birthday Ruth!  Maggie wore a birthday hat that she made for Joanna’s birthday .  The group tried to sing happy birthday which was humorous to say the least!


Deborah: appliqued  circles on the Fizz quilt leftovers.  Also working on De-Cluttering challenge! 


Joy:  reported that the long arm machine is home and waiting to be set up!

We missed Ruth S today.  Ruth S has a birthday tomorrow!!!  Happy Birthday Ruth!!!
