2/10/2022 CCLQ @ ZoomBee

💟 Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly zoom meeting.  ðŸ’Ÿ

Announcement: Next BEE lunch will be 2/24/22 at Hillsborough BBQ after our virtual meeting.

Carol: shared a sweet baby quilt for her niece made with adorable flannel charm pack fabrics.  Making a quilt for a friend’s daughter with bright fabrics. 

Deborah: machine quilted Fizz quilt and working on binding. Shared new fabric(Love Lily) for Heartfelt Quilt Challenge from Fat Quarter Shop.

Lynda: made 70 flying geese and finished all small stars. Next will make half square triangles.
Britt will share a special ruler for helping with this. Talked about garden plans for backyard.

DeeDee: almost finished with a lovely green, pink, and red quilt. Plans to add borders next.
Pulled some batik fabric out for making another bunk bed quilt.

Ruth S.: found an alphabet panel and used scraps to make a border of one inch squares and fabric from Donna.



Ruth B: finished the Noah’s Ark quilt! Machine quilting the elephant quilt and the backing is
flannel.


Cheryl: finished a lovely heart table runner with nice quilting! Included a tiny heart motif on the
edge of the border. Made a small heart quilt for DH’s valentine’s gift. It will go under his
computer to keep it from sliding. Shared a photo of a new pattern for her next quilt.






Gayle: made a cute table runner with red and white Christmas embroidery blocks. Gayle is
working on using up left over batting by cutting into 2.5 inch strips. Gayle demonstrated how she plans to make a fabric rug with it. Plans to cut extra batting into 12 inch squares for “quilt as you go” projects. Had a big trash can of scraps and organized them into one gallon zip lock bags.  Plans to cut the scraps into 10 inch, 5 inch 2.5 inch square and 1.5 inch squares!






Ella: shared a new project with some of her favorite fabric. Has the layout started on her design wall.


Maggie: finished the top of a lovely Macaroon Mystery quilt.
