Artists paying homage to Gees Bend quilters:

Britt told us about a realistic quilter/thread painter/fabric artist (@claranartey) she had seen on Instagram.  Here's a LINK to her blog and her SHOP:

I was only able to capture blurry images during the meeting, but visited her IG page for a better look at Clara's work:

Maggie finished the binding on this Christmas quilt...

Quilted by Britt:

Speaking of Britt...

... She puttered with pressing and loading the next quilt on the longarm during tonight's meeting.

Britt showed off the mug rug that Joy made in February's Color of the Month:

Twinkle Stars...

And Blackford Beauty blocks...

... Are her focus for the year:

I think she enjoyed the meeting:

We had a discussion about Spoonflower and DOQ's guest speaker this month, Susie Monday.  Sherry inquired about putting photos on fabric:

This is the product that Maggie used for printing photos (along with sentiments added in Word) and Joy had someone else do the photos for a quilt she made:

Someone suggested checking with Mary Glenn's printing company and Karen relayed her story of making quilt labels at Spoonflower.

Sherry sent the following after the meeting...

Hi, Joy, here's the link. I'm not sure why it's in Chinese since I think it is a New York gallery. Nice meeting tonight. Thanks for setting it all up every month.  - Sherry

Thanks for that, but I just send out the meeting notice and write up the posts.  Kirsten is the one who sets up the meeting.  Thanks for that, Kirsten!!

Until next time...
Let's go SEW!!!
