2/17/2022 CCLQ @ ZoomBee

 Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly zoom meeting. 


Reminder: Next BEE lunch will be 2/24/22 at Hillsborough BBQ after our virtual meeting. 

Ruth announced that the Hillsborough Senior Center will now allow 10 quilters. Several folks in
our group attended on Tuesday. Time: 10am-12.  

DeeDee announced that DOQ needs children’s donation quilts...baby to teen size. Contact Carol Holleman or drop off at Sarah Porecca’s. Give these quilts to anyone in our group that goes to the Tuesday Senior Group.

Take Note: *** Next sew-in day via Zoom will be Saturday, March 5th.


Deborah: working outside in garden and yard. Started the ironing and cutting for the
Atmosphere Quilt.

Carol: refurbished a heart pillow for Valentines’s Day. Working in garden and also de-cluttering
some in sewing room.

Lynda: working on her “un-begun” quilt . Britt helped with the directions of making half-square
triangles...needs 150 of these tiny blocs. Her son-in-law will build a garden shed for her. Lynda
shared a photo of the shed. Enjoying being outside! 


Cheryl: showed a lovely “Lime Twist” quilt on her design wall. Had some left over green and
blue and will make a donation quilt with that. Also enjoying working outside.



Gayle: Showed the pretty red and white Christmas quilt which she quilted on the diagonal. Got
her truck out of the mud in the backyard. Enjoying working in the yard and getting her vegetable
garden prepared.

Linda H.: enjoying working outside. Plans to visit Candy to get some quilting ideas.

Ella: shared a lovely teal, aqua and pink quilt on her design wall.

Ruth B: Finished the Noah’s ark quilt and will donate this to DOQ. Almost finished with quilting
the elephant quilt. Ruth is making a stitch book with all the stitches on her machine. Family is
coming to visit this weekend!

Candy: finished the Counter Point quilt and Cheryl B will quilt it. Candy is using the left over
triangles from this quilt to make a chevron design.


Ruth S.: enjoyed going to the Tuesday Group and picked up a pattern called “Simple Rail.” Ruth
will make a donation quilt for cancer patients. Finished the alphabet quilt and plans to save it for
a family member’s baby. Donna is coming this weekend.

DeeDee: finished the pink and green quilt and got it over to Britt’s for quilting. Started a table
runner and pulling fabrics for kid’s quilts.

 



Maggie:showed an adorable beach ball row by row from 2015. Shared a new pattern that she plans to
make with plus signs and random flying geese in the sashing.

 


Joy: excited that the rails for her long arm machine are in place...waiting for machine to be set
up.
