9/1/2022 CCLQ @ Ruth's

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters weekly meeting!

Cheryl started with sharing her quilting books she was able to get a recent CH Library sale.  Then showed us her completed Baby Bear quilt that is for her first Grandchild who will make his arrival soon.  She zipped thru a previously shown donation quilt and finished showing an in-process Rainbow pillow also for the new baby.

Ruth showed the sandwiched Baby Blues quilt ready for the walking foot.  Then Carol gave Ruth back her Bunnies donation quilt which is now quilted and ready for binding.

Carol has worked some orphan blocks into a lovely child size throw.  She made two one is shown and the other is at home being quilted.  The extra length is going to take a bit more time to muscle under the needle.

Maggie showed her finished challenge Friendship Wreath  followed by two donation tops that are made from 5" charms. Also eyeglass cases and sleep mask made from cute red eyeglass fabric.

Gayle has gotten her Starry Night fat quarter fabrics and a little matching yardage from Deborah.  After a little experimentation with technique she'll be creating a new original wall hanging.

Candy had a few shows starting with a picture frame sporting decorative stitching and corner hanging pockets on the back.  She asked for binding opinions for a donation quilt then showed a 70's batik print that would make a wonderful bed runner or wall hanging.

Others reported they are busy with life and Happy to be here!

“There should have been a better farewell. But in the end, there never is.
And we take what meagre scraps we can find.”
― Richard K. Morgan, The Dark Defiles

What will we do with  "meagre scraps"  for show next week?
