11/30/23: CCLQ at Cheryl’s

This week the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters met at Cheryl’s.  Excitement was in the air as quilters exchanged bags for the Round Robin!

Congratulations to Maggie for meeting her personal donation quilt challenge of making a donation baby quilt for each week of the year!!!!  This is quilt number 52. Amazing work Maggie!!!

Gayle was the happy recipient of this beautiful upholstery fabric from Maggie.

Maggie did not have to foist this lovely purple fabric on Linda. Linda also ordered the Christmas Ribbon quilt pattern.

DeeDee has started to experiment with making wonky heart blocks for a new heart quilt.

Here’s a larger version of the heart quilt block.

DeeDee visited Keepsake Quilting (Pineapple Fabrics) last week to find fabric for a baby quilt.

She found a beautiful nature print with birds and soft woodsy scenes.

Another perfect find from Keepsake Quilting.

DeeDee made this adorable mug caddy from the pattern Maggie shared.

Carol has been busy busy making Christmas placemats for her grandchildren.

Carol also made this fun Christmas quilt for one of her grandchildren.

The back view shows her cool free motion quilting for Santa’s beard.

Carol plans to sew some borders on the Grinch panel for another Christmas quilt for grandchildren.

Gayle was excited to share this new pattern called Christmas Ribbons.

Gayle found three left over blocks and made this beautiful table runner.

Gayle also finished this lovely orange peel rick rack quilt.

Candy made this sweet little Christmas tree for a gift exchange.

Candy made this stunning donation quilt.

Ruth typed up a group address and phone number list for each member. Thank you Ruth!  While decorating for Christmas, Ruth found a box in the attic labeled “Christmas Do-Dads.”  The box contained an assortment of items for making Christmas gifts.

Cheryl finished this cute baby quilt top.

Lynda reported that she has to send the Featherweight machine back in for more work.  It needed a new bobbin case and now is working great!

Deborah enjoyed working on the Round Robin black and is working on binding of a donation quilt.

Until next time, happy quilting!!
