Welcome to this weeks Cherry Creek Lane Quilter's meeting hosted by Deborah.
Cheryl started us off but getting a button and bird ornament from Deedee. She happily told the group that her sewing room gained some space by swapping a queen for a double bed. Now her sewing table can be fully extended to have a lot more working space.
Maggie shared a new book "Pot Holders for All Seasons" by Chris Malone
Carol finished an original Grinch panel for one Grinch crazed grandchild and is starting on the 2nd one. Gayle's going to get going on this one on her longarm.
Gayle has finished the binding on the scalloped edged quilt and had words of wisdom for all to not use a full half circle for the scalloped curve because the valley is just too sharp a turn. But she is oh so happy to check this off her list of techniques to try.
Ruth S. finished the binding for Deedee on a donation quilt that she got just 2days prior at the Tuesday Group meeting. She also found the missing Chicken pot holder that completes the set of 6 for sale at the up coming Senior Center Craft Fair.
Deedee is sporting a new tote from Keepsake. She purchased a lot of fabric so it almost filled it full. She has a 3 yard quilt top pieced and will move onto the borders. It's beautiful but the pattern cutting instructions were not. Warning to all that to get every inch from the yard of fabric the instructions are creative versus easy.
Lynda is happy to be with the group and is pacing herself with the sewing machine to keep from hurting her back further. The presents for the Family in New Zealand are in the mail.
Candy has so enjoyed having Tom the Turkey hanging near her dining table that she is working on Rudolf as a replacement. We all got to share the excitment of viewing her latest quilt that is hot of Britt's longarm.
Ruth is smiling as she has a great tell about getting a brand new car after Thanksgiving.
Deborah is happy to accept delivery of another couple yards of the ombre Wild Blossoms by Robin Pickens
Just one more share from the internet is a cute little Santa Calendar for counting down the days till Christmas.
Could a clever quilter turn this construction paper beauty into a quilted wall hanging? Challenge issued ... next year I hope to see some?
