7/28/16 - CCLQ @ Deborah's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  This week we were at Deborah's house.  Seven members were present to partake of Frozen Raspberry Bars and fresh made coffee.

Ella was absent, but emailed to say that Barry was having a procedure done today.  Ruth B. was spending the day with her granddaughter, but emailed to say that they enjoyed blueberry picking at Gayle's house earlier this week (and caught up on what Gayle's been up to lately.)

Lots going on this week...

Joanna brought along Pulse Quilt One:

Look at the fun quilting she did:

All that remains to be done is the binding:

Deborah made some stuffed fish (for a game, not dinner!) to take to the beach.  Her grandson will have some BIG fun:

Here, Deborah is preparing to sew the worm for the fishing game:

Joanna is struggling with her Stonehenge blocks:

Cheryl K. gathers her strength, as she prepares to do battle against her scrap pile:

Jean made a new MODERN quilt and is stuck on the quilting:

She pieced the back:

HERE is a closer look at the quilting:

Joanna got down on the floor to PROVE that the plan was good:

THIS photo shows that Cheryl really DID do some work:

Dee Dee did some sketching:

Jean worked on a beading project:

Candy bought fabric for the Pulse Quilts:

HERE is Pulse Quilt Two:

Since sashing was added, there won't be borders on this one:

Candy talked about our potential Law Enforcement Quilt project:

Deborah "caught" a fish:

Candy found a new pattern for baby shoes:

Joanna got a portion of her blocks out on the "Design Floor" and rearranged some of the combinations:

She's not convinced that she likes it:

Hmm... Maybe THIS is better:

Candy asked for these to be posted to the blog:

Dee Dee brought along the completed Play Mat:

HERE are the ties that she incorporated:

And she found a couple of trucks to be included with the gift:

THIS shows the mat rolled and tied:

Joy completed a Wonky 9-Patch Quilt:

She used a pantograph on her longarm:

She's in the process of sewing down the binding on her Calico Rick Rack quilt.  It came from a Gayle Bong class at DOQ years ago:

Joy did some ruler work and free motion quilting on this quilt:

This shot shows front, back, borders, and binding in one photo:

Nonnie struck again (and here's the note to prove it.)  Happy shopping, Deborah:

HERE is the book(let) that Joanna's new project is from:

Until next time...
Let's go quilting!!!
