8/18/16 - CCLQ @ Cheryl K's

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  We were hosted by Cheryl K., which means that six of us were greeted by fresh coffee and fresh baked Almond Cookies. SEW delicious!!!

Joanna brought along THIS photo to share the quilting design:

Jean worked on a beading project:

What's THAT, Deborah???

Oh, LOOK!!  She's making yo-yo's for a Fidget Quilt:

Joy brought her newly completed Calico Rick Rack quilt:

Here is another shot:

She also brought along the new BUILD-A-BARN book she won in an online drawing:

Joanna had some trimming to do for her current project:

Oh, LOOK!!  Joy is one step away from completing The Tennis Quilt and not a minute too soon... it's due TOMORROW:

Here is another look at the ~ 75 x 105 XL Twin monstrosity:

Cheryl K. asked for ideas of what to do with THESE scraps...

... And smiled as she listened to suggestions:

Dee Dee got caffeinated while waiting for her turn to share:

Joanna got busy squaring up her blocks:

Dee Dee went on a shopping spree while vacationing in SC...

She purchased a Turtle pattern:

Dee Dee shared the Pulse Quilt that she bound:

She bought bird fabric for new pillows, along with fabrics for the backs of those pillows:

She found a Tunic pattern that she couldn't resist:

There was a story behind this pattern, but you will have to ask Dee Dee about it, as my memory fails me:

She got caught out in the rain and her favorite hat shrunk afterwards.  Now she's working on embellishments for another:

Looking good, Joanna!!  Your Wonky blocks (artfully arranged by Dee Dee) are ready for the next step of the process:

Deborah shared the Pulse Quilt that she bound:

Oh, wait!!  We need a picture of the two Pulse Quilts together:

Dee Dee also went thrifting on her South Carolina adventures:

Deborah showed photos of the Fish Game for her beach trip:

Another beading project for Jean:

With her trimming complete, Joanna moved on to an unidentified project.  At least, your editor didn't hear the story:

Dee Dee began the "deboning" of the linen thrift score:

Jean brought along the photo of her next Commission Pet Bag to benefit the SECU Family House:

ETA... Editorial oops!!  This bag is actually for a coworker of Jean's DH. Sorry for the misrepresentation!

Jean passed around this card made by artist Mary Darling:

The group of us stopped by Cheryl's living room to see the spot were her Turtle Quilt is hanging:

Here is a closer look at the quilted turtles:

We also got to see Cheryl's Bird Quilt, inspired by a pattern by Lynne Tyler of The Patchery Menagerie:

She was auditioning a border fabric found in her stash:

On the way back to the living room, we were able to see Cheryl's House (CCLQ Mystery) Quilt hanging in the dining room:

Until next time...
Stitch thoughtfully!!!
