Coffee and lemon bars welcomed 3 hungry quilters... until Dee Dee's headache went away and she was able to join the gathering.
Show and Tell went something like this...
Joanna had her longarm decorated with these 2 beauties:
She offered this (unopened) tutorials to Joy:
Jean prepared to bead:
Joanna started off with a stack of magazines:
Ruth B. sorted through some fabrics:
Joy worked on the binding of Calico Rick Rack:
HERE is the bag pattern that Ruth B. plans to make for her upcoming train journey through the Canadian Rockies:
Adorable bag, TERRIBLE name:
Joanna recommended THIS pattern by Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville:
Ruth B's bag fabrics presented a challenge when she determined that the pattern size was SMALLER than she wanted. That's OK! Joy offered a solution:
The medicine kicked in and Dee Dee was happy she ventured out and is THRILLED with her Thrift Shop XL linen shirt that she is about to "de-bone", ala Bonnie Hunter:
We all took a field trip to Joanna's design wall, where we saw the result of the Stonehenge Reorganization:
Then...
We were shown her newest work in progress:
Here's a (little) closer look:
From THIS book by Karla Alexander:
The sample quilt in its entirity:
Joy wandered off to get more coffee...
Joy's Tennis Quilt is ready for quilting:
Another view, out of the glare:
Harbor, with his Play Mat made by Dee Dee:
He quickly became engrossed in a game of Push the Truck:
Now, you can clearly see that Harbor LOVE it:
Joanna asked for quilting advice concerning this wonderful Scrappy Donation Quilt from The Tuesday Group:
Ruth B. had some ripping to do:
Jean recently taught a small group of crafters how to Jelli Print. The students have gone on to make their own plates and one student made these incredible cards:
Couldn't decide which photo was better:
Dee Dee wanted to know about THIS quilt:
Joanna made it using circle templates back when she worked in a local fabric store:
Until next time...
Quilting is the fabric of our lives!!!
