Only a handful of quilters were in attendance today. The six of us made up for the lack of additional show-ers and tell-ers! :o))
Let's start off with a little preview:
Before we got the meeting started, she wanted opinions on THIS:
Jean is using these photo transfers for a(nother) Pet Bag. The "price" is a set donation to SECU Family House:
She finished the quilt for her niece:
It is graced with "Modern" quilting, ala Jacquie Gering:
Jean did add extra lines of quilting and just LOOK at that center:
She finished it off with a faux-piped binding:
In between photos, Joy worked on binding her Calico Rick Rack:
Joanna did some drawing...
... And had a TELL:
The double vision that she has been struggling with for months is GONE. Hooray!!! What a relief, Joanna!!
Last week we were asked to bring our ideas for a special group project to benefit local law enforcement.
Here is Jean's idea:
Candy brought THIS photo of a shirt she saw:
Jean applied a label to the back of AZ's Quilt:
Ruth B. worked on her applique block:
Here is Candy contemplating Jean and Joanna's ideas:
Ella's mind has been occupied with things other than quilting:
Special thanks are in order, as Joanna brought the quilted Pulse Quilt Two, blocks made by various CCLQ members:
She used the same lovely Heart Meander quilting pattern:
Candy showed off here cheap-cheap fabric score at Tuesday Morning. I don't thing ANYONE could have resisted these:
Candy also made a stack of "Bowl Holders" for a relative:
LOOK at the wonderful old handkerchiefs that she found:
THIS is a photo of the "Unstructured" Bag that Ruth B. helped her granddaughter make during a recent visit:
Jean's hands stayed busy throughout the meeting:
Here is another shot of Jamie's "Unstructured" Bag...
... She even did some decorative stitching:
Jean also worked on a beading project. YIKES!! She's been like the Energizer (Quilting) Bunny today:
Dee Dee texted our "lunch alarm" so that we wouldn't forget and talk all afternoon. Thanks, Dee Dee! Here's hoping that you are having a wonderful vacation in sunny South Carolina (and Cheryl, thanks for chiming in from Ohio! Enjoy your visit.) Four out of the six of us went to lunch at Mexican.
Post-lunch TELLs:
Joy has the rows of the Tennis Quilt in "twosies." The end is in sight... Thank heavens!!
Joanna had a TELL, too, but I forgot what it was. Sorry!!!
Until next time...
Wishing YOU peaceful piecing!!!
