3/30/17: CCLQ @ DeeDee's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of those wonderful Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week nine quilters met at DeeDee's home.

This cheerful painting greeted quilters as they entered DeeDee's home. After brownies and coffee, Dee Dee opened the meeting with getting dates from everyone so she can make the schedule for  the next three months.  We were glad to see Linda who joined us today since she's on break. Britt will join us for lunch and will also join us for the next few Thursdays. We miss Ella so much and send get well wishes to her!

Joanna showed this lovely table runner that she made for her daughter-in-law's new table.

Candy joyfully continues to work on the binding for the QOV quilt.

Cheryl proudly shared the first block for her son and daughter-in-law's wedding quilt.

Here's a good view of the focus fabric for the quilt. Her daughter-in-law to be likes red, gray and black, so those colors will be in the block.

Jean shared more Bernina tips with Ruth S.  and also brought her box of tiny pieces of fabric.

Ruth S. had a wonderful story to tell about her trip to the  The Villages in Florida!

Ruth worked on this embroidery project.

Linda enjoyed coloring in a Zen Pattern and Design book.

Ruth B worked on her landscape quilt and also shared that she's getting ready for a neighborhood yard sale.
Ruth S shared this photo of the baby quilt that she made on her new Bernina.

DeeDee made a pillow from the iris panel that Britt brought her from QuiltCon.
DeeDee showed this completed table runner for her bedside table.
Deborah made this feather block for a group project from her other bee.  They are making a support quilt for a friend.
You can make your own "Feather Bed Quilt" using this free pattern designed by Anna Maria Horner.

Six hungry quilters dined at Saratoga Grill in downtown Hillsborough.

Until next time,  "Don't worry about today, do a little quilting and everything will be OK."
