1/10/19 - CCLQ @ Ruth S

Welcome to another meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  Special thanks to today's Volunteer Photographer, Jean, for stepping in.  She and 4 quilters met at Ruth S's house today.

First some yummy snacks...

Ruth made banana bread:

Then down to the business of quilts...

Ruth S. got her quilt back:

Joanna did some feather quilting:

Everyone wanted to have a look:

They had a 9ft. tall Christmas tree at the Bluff:

Homemade ornaments.  All with ingredients from the Bluff:

This one depicts their beloved sunsets:

Jean's quilt top from the pattern that Joanna drew up:

Jean changed a few things:

The tree in all its glory at the Fishing Lodge:

Ella asked for some advice:

Gayle had a TELL...  She packed her sewing machine cord so she can't sew at home.  She went to Jean's to sew!  Her project?  A slip cover for a dining room chair.

Here, she inspects Jean's new comfy shoes:

Margaret used a LOT of scraps...

... To make this gorgeous Binding Tool Quilt:

This square walking foot quilting...

... Is what Candy used to quilt her Bluff Mystery:

She listened, as Joanna offered suggestions for the borders:

Jean has been playing with pockets for crossbody bags:

Ruth S. showed a Red and White quilt from the past to be shown in the upcoming DOQ Show

She also had a donation quilt that she is doing the binding on, using the SAME fabric she used years ago:

Jean got bored with the plan 4-Patch and added embroidery:

Those not in attendance missed out on the opportunity to have lunch at Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe.  :o((

Lucky Dee Dee!  She finished her errands in time to join the others for a delicious Greek lunch.  :o))

Until next time...
Quilt! Quilt! Quilt!!!
