8/22/19: CCLQ at Lynda's

What have the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters been up to?  Hopefully this blogger can catch up with the blog soon....she's way behind.  On August 22nd nine quilters plus our Jr. Quilter met at Lynda's home. Apologies for not getting a photo of our wonderful host and a couple of other folks. Candy received a surprise text during our meeting from Ruth S who is in New York working on a Blooming Nine Patch.

Margaret went to Pineapple Fabrics and got a pattern for a mug rug and some small blocks for this pattern. Margaret reported that the staff at Pineapple loved her donation quilts and put a photo of Margaret and the quilts on the August 17th post on their Facebook Page!  Congratulations Margaret!
Margaret finished the table runner for the mountain house.
Closer look at Margaret's wonderful quilting.
Margaret also visited Cary Quilting and Wish Upon a Quilt shops and found some cool fabrics like this "Old Guys Rule" fabric.

More fun fabric from Margaret's shopping spree.
Here's the 2019 Row by Row pattern from Cary Quilting Co.
Margaret somehow had time to visit Joanna and learn to do long arm quilting!  Well done Margaret!

Ella went to Pineapple Fabrics and will bring her fabric next week.  Ella had lots of fun with her friend Debbie.

Joanna reported that she is working on a very interesting nine patch quilt. Joanna enjoyed teaching Margaret how to use the long arm quilting machine.  She loved going to Pineapple and will bring her fabric to show next time.

Lynda reported that she continues to work on her Sue Spargo blocks.
DeeDee went to the mountains and found a cool fabric shop in Asheville.
What cute cat fabric from Asheville!

DeeDee found this mysterious Star Wars fabric for the back the Star Wars quilt she's making and then learned it's the wrong character.

This beautiful Lazy Susan was on Lynda's counter and had to be included for inspiration!

Deborah brought one corner of her Blooming Nine Patch and plans to contact Ruth S to commiserate on the making of a Blooming Nine Patch.
Candy made this wonderful storage bin.

The directions for the bin.

Joy made this inverted star block for for a block drive called Covered in Love.  This block is for the East Texas End of Life block drive.

Joy made this wonderful block for the Colorado Quilt of Valor Block Drive.

Oops...more of Margaret's wonderful fabric!

Jean is working on the border of this exceptional embroidered and painted botanical quilt.

Close up of Jean's awesome work!

One more photo of Margaret's happy face.  Who wouldn't be happy with such wonderful fabric purchases!

Until next time, happy quilting!!!
