Our next (Virtual) Sew Day is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 13th. The Faces Workshop will begin at 10:30 AM that day!!
Show and Tell...
Deb: quilting on the heart quilt. Plans to use a stippling stitch on her machine for the corners. Maggie had a great suggestion of using that stippling stitch in a spiral motion.
Joy: quilting on her yellow quilt ...which has a blue pieced quilt on the back...it’s reversible. Shared an adorable round robin quilt with little houses and checkerboard. Plans to add wonky stars.
Britt: finished quilting her mom’s quilt and needs to bury the threads. Working on the commission quilt. Sorted fabrics for another woven rug. Britt created a book of photos of her quilts for a couple of years. Using the Mix Book program to do this. Shared new blender fabric from Connecting Threads.
Carol: working on a string quilt using blues. Using white for the center strips. Her goal was to use scraps from her scrap bag. Still not making a dent.
Lynda: making great progress on her colorful squares quilt. Shared the possible backing for her squares quilt from Pineapple Fabrics. Also found colorful paw fabric for another backing.
Ruth S: Went to Wish Upon A Quilt. Found a heron panel for DeeDee. Ruth found some aurifil thread. Finished the binding on the I Spy quilt. Made a baby quilt. Started a quilt for Covid Nurses donation project.
Candy: Showed two colorful donation quilts made by Ruth. (Only capture one photo.) Will get them to Joy for the Covid nurses donation project. Finished the beautiful yellow and gray quilt.
Ruth B: has a quilt for the Covid nurses project. This one was quilted by Joanna. Working on quilting practice pieces in preparation for quilting the Twirling Quilt.
Maggie: shared a gorgeous Meadow Mist mystery quilt top. This will be a donation quilt for the homeless shelter. Used a charm packs to make two beautiful Hospice donation quilts. Finished the lovely Grid Girls mystery quilt.
Showed granddaughter’s lovely quilt made of charms.
DeeDee: showed colorful tumbler scrap quilt on design wall. This was from a Bonnie Hunter pattern. Shared a sweet table topper made of 1930’s reproduction fabrics. Found a package of nine patches and made a quilt from that.
We had a bit of a revolving door today, so...
It pleases me to present another group photo of those members in attendance at the end of the meeting. Welcome, Britt and Cheryl B!
