Show and Tell...
Joy: this week quilting on a “challenging” quilt on the long arm machine. Project Quilting Challenge this time was “crazy quilting”. Joy used silks from Jean F and made a cute “Stitch...a recipe for relaxation” art quilt. Mailed the wedding quilt this week!
Ruth S: had a visit with her son this week. Used fabric from Pineapple Fabrics to make for a curtain for her living room. Made background for Faces Quilt in preparation for our Sew Saturday!
Candy: Shared a baby quilt that was quilted by Britt. Britt quilted lovely swirls in the diamonds and borders for this quilt. Candy watched Leah Day’s quilt as you go video. Plans to use up some of her stash fabric to make some donation quilts.
Britt: Finished something that qualifies for her Ravelry UFO Club. This quilt has beautiful spiral quilting and is for the LWR donation quilt. Showed a beautiful donation quilt that Maggie made and Britt quilted it with a lovely pattern. Almost finished with commission quilt.
Cheryl B: working on custom quilting on a lovely Dresden plate quilt. Almost finished with this project. Looking for a baby quilt pattern for great grandson!
Maggie: made a donation quilt for a teenage boy using basketball fabric. Used large blocks of guys playing basket ball. Cool design Maggie! Showed a beautiful block of the month quilt top.
DeeDee: working on cleaning up outdoor shed for painting projects. She used a battery powered caulking gun to seal cracks in sheet. What a great tool! Trimmed nine patches for a quilt. Plans to put these little blocks on point to make a nice quilt. DeeDee received a surprise package of bird fabric from Ruth S. Received some cute “single and ready to mingle” flamingo fabric! Plans to make a mug rug. Plans to make a smock with a blue and white leaf print fabric which will be perfect for the smock. Found the fabric in her stash!
Does anyone recognize these two donation quilts?? They were dropped off, but who is the maker??
Lynda Mac: finished all nine squares for the Kaffe Fasset bright colors quilt. Had a dream that helped her solve the problem of piecing the panels together. Has the top finished. Also enjoying working in the yard.
Editor's Note:
Special thanks to Deborah for scheduling with Zoom and recording the "minutes" of our meeting! As always, contact Joy with any additions or corrections that need to be made.
Hope to see many of you at Saturday's Faces Workshop with Dee Dee. I am SEW looking forward to it!
Until next time...
BEE sew happy!!!
