Ruth S: trying to decide what to sew this summer. Finished a lovely card bag for her daughter in law.  Went to Pineapple Fabrics. Bought a roll of Bosal for making a rug.  Making  a face quilt for the principal at her daughter’s school and found some just right fabric for that project.  Wants to make a bookcase quilt and found some fabric that would work for that. Also bought a swirly colorful backing fabric at PF.

Joy: made a new mask that has more space to breathe. Plans to add a nose wire. Joy will send a link for this pattern. Made a lovely blue table runner using 1.5 inch strips and quilted using a match-stick design. Made a sweet lotus design hot pad.

Deborah: went to the beach so did not do any quilting last week.

Maggie: quilted two sweet baby quilts for DOQ donation quilts. Shared another quilt made from a panel. Maggie cut apart the panel blocks then added star blocks and sashing.  This lovely quilt will hang in her sewing room.

Candy : we got to see Candy’s beautiful yellow and gray quilt which was nicely displayed on her dining room wall. Candy gave a us tour of how she rearranged her wall quilts. Working on her quilt as you go quilt.

Linda H: went to Pineapple Fabrics.  Linda won the pineapple prize this time!  Found a gorgeous blue and purple swirly backing fabric for her purple quilt. Found some Christmas and bright colors selvedge strips. Shared a “Purple Haze” pattern. Also found some lovely purple charm packs and will use a pale lavender batik for the background to make the Purple Haze quilt. The group that went to PIneapple, took our Pineapple donation quilt to them.

Until next time...
