10/20/2022: CCLQ at Ruth B’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week we met at Ruth B’s home.  We had a small group today but lots of good inspiration was shared!

Ruth’s sweet donation quilt is ready for binding.

Gayle found some vintage baby blocks and made this  cute baby quilt.
Gayle finished this adorable turtle quilt.

Ruth B shared this nice donation quilt.

Gayle shared this photo of her new strategy for managing the quilting “stash.”  She sorted all of her fabric into half yards, 1 yard, and 3 yards.  Then she combined three one yard pieces so they’re ready for a project. The tutorial for this idea is from https://www.fabriccafe.com/ . They have published several books on three yard quilts and the website has some free videos.

Carol finished the top for Jenny Doan’s disappearing hour glass quilt.  A word of caution….this quilt has lots of bias edges.

Deborah just returned from spending a wonderful time with the grandchildren.  She’s got her quilt ready for the DOQ quilt show and shared information about how to fold one’s quilt for a quilt show. https://youtu.be/9fP60_6MxCw

Until next time,

Happy Quilting!!!
