4/20/23: CCLQ at Ruth S

 Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters! This week’s meeting was held at the home of Ruth S.  We had a full house, so get ready for lots of photos! Thanks to Maggie, there are even more photos at the end of this post!

Quilters were greeted by one Ruth’s gorgeous quilts…Houses at The Bluff. 


DeeDee surprised Ruth with a gift of library themed fabrics. 
Here’s another library themed fabric for Ruth. 
Ruth provided delicious scones and other treats and also had a table full of scraps to give to the quilters. 
Carol brought a photo of her new grandson and shared this colorful block which is the start of a new scrappy donation quilt. 

Lynda reported that she’s working on the Cinnamon Stick quilt and also busy with gardening. 

Thanks to YouTube videos, Gayle fixed her pressure washer and has been busy power washing the exterior of her house.  

Linda H purchased a nifty needle case with special needles that are easy to thread. 

Linda also shared this dazzling panel from the Connecting Threads catalog. 

Linda purchased the complementary fabric to go with the crane panel. 

Ruth B worked on binding her aqua quilt. 

DeeDee reported that she has been working in the garden and also started a new exercise class. 

Maggie shared this fun donation quilt.

Maggie visited Stone Mountain and on the way home stopped a the Sewingly Yours, Quilt shop. She purchased a pattern and some cool fabrics.

Ella started a new scrappy quilt. 

Ruth S shared a notice about a Cary Quilting Shop market for this Saturday. 

Ruth finished this vibrant quilt made from French Connections fabrics.

Cheryl has just returned from a long trip to visit her grandson and has been working in her garden. 

Deborah has been working on her sewing room and making slow but steady progress.
