6/6/24: CCLQ at Candy’s

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters. This week quilters met at Candy’s home.  Candy provided some delicious snacks and we had quite a wonderful show and tell of quilts!

Linda continues to work on her sewing space and this week found a large storage container of what she thought was more fabric…..however….drum roll please…she found several gorgeous quilt tops! Maggie said this one reminded her of the Caribbean. Linda added the lovely border which was also in the box.

This wonderful quilt top will be a donation quilt.

Linda found the binding for this one.

Linda plans to keep this lovely quilt.  She remembers going over to Ella’s house and placing these blocks on the design wall.

Linda made this sweet quilt using 30’s fabric and feed sacks. This one is a keeper as well.

Linda was so excited to find this beautiful butterfly quilt top. She called Gayle who quilted it in a flash!

Lynda was happy to share this lovely finished quilt top.The pattern is from the Moda book.

Lynda will use the blue fabric (in her hand) for the backing.

Lynda and Britt went to Pineapple Fabrics last week. Lynda found good deals on two quilt kits.

Lynda was awarded the Pineapple sunglasses by Candy.

Here’s the second quilt kit Lynda found.

DeeDee is getting ready to go to the beach next week.  She shared some paper quilt blocks that she’s using to help design a quilt. The blogger apologizes for not getting a photo of DeeDee.

Deborah finished Hattie the Hatmaker doll made from the doll parts that DeeDee’s mom made years ago. This will be a birthday gift for Deborah’s granddaughter.

Candy found a cute mini-charm pack from Pineapple.  She gave it to DeeDee who was looking for some low volume fabrics for a background for her bee quilt.

Candy used her Round Robin blocks to make several placemats.

She had fun working with colors.

Maggie made this adorable donation quilt for a child using delightful cow fabric.

Fun cow fabric for backing.

Maggie also finished this lovely springtime Riley Blake door quilt challenge.

Carol added a fun border for this child’s donation quilt.

Carol brought home these blocks from the Tuesday group (two days ago) and made this lovely quilt. Maggie says Carol is the “queen of the turn around” for the Tuesday group.

Candy also had a surprise show…a gift from one of Dana’s friends!

The potato chip box was fun too!

Until next time…Happy quilting.
