11/6/14 - Houston comes to Gayle's house...

Our travelers are back.  (And they brought presents!)  Those of our number who were at the International Quilt Festival have returned and what a Show & Tell we had!  But, first the gifts:

Joanna made the presentation.

To the travel agent (Candy) for taking care of the bookings.

Candy looks quite pleased with her surprise...Batiks!

Speaking of surprises - Ella certainly wasn't expecting a gift for her "tour" services!

Ella shows of her Sunflower batik.
There was LOTS of chatter, as Ruth S. is back for the winter.  Look what she made over the summer:

Full view of her "Candy" bag.

Welcome back, Ruth!!!

This view greeted us when we entered Gayle's family room:

Apparently, Gayle's been busy, again.
And now for the part you've been waiting for - Show & Tell:

First, Candy had a question about what to use for a border for her new quilt.

Joy had a question about her newest Custom Tote.  To mail or not to mail.  Ultimately, she sent photos and asked Joan what she wanted to do - the smudge didn't bother her.  :o))

Gayle introduced us to Jade.  She's the 3rd doll that Gayle has made (and a 4th we didn't get to see because she has already been given away.)  Busy, busy, Gayle!!

Dee Dee was finishing her table runner.

And... The loot from Houston:

Joanna bought a tiny pair of scissor...

And a TON of Stone Henge fabrics!!!

And a number of patterns.  (This was my favorite.)

Look at Ruth B.'s pretty shopping bag...

And her pretty collection of fabrics.  She also purchased a number of gadgets.
Here's a peek inside Ella's shopping bag.

This shows the WILD fabric that she (and Linda) purchased.  Isn't it AWESOME?!

Ella brought Barry's purchases along to share.

Ruth S. was too busy with classes to do much shopping.  Her wool class sample...

And her broderie perse class sample.  There was mention of another, but no photo.

Ruth S. decided to purchase a kit for a miniature quilt.  FUN!!
Until next time...
Happy Quilting!!!
