7/16/15 - CCLQ @ Ruth B.'s

Eight of us gathered at Ruth B.'s house today for our weekly quilt meeting.  With coffee to get us going and delicious HOMEMADE scones to eat, we shared what kept us busy since we last met (and had an interesting conversation about Victoria's Secret and such.)

Jean was busy binding her latest Kitchen Quilt:

Gayle was busy cutting solids for her next quilt:

Joanna happily enjoyed one of Ruth's amazing scones:

Dee Dee stitched away on the binding of THIS quilt for the Animal Rescue Auction:

Candy brought along her Commission Quilt for quilting suggestions:

She's thinking about something like THIS:

Which was found HERE:

Deborah recently had lunch with her sister, who brought along some things that their grandmother had made... Including Deborah's Doll Quilt:

An incredible example of fine crocheted bed cover:

So fine that it barely resembles crochet:

And a lovely table cover:

Also VERY well done:

Deborah showed yet another example of her grandmother's fine work:

Here's a close-up of the star piece of (undetermined purpose):

Ruth B. showed us examples of what she and her grandson made last week while he was visiting:

Joy brought scraps for trimming, but entertained herself with a stack of Ruth's quilting magazines and even found a possible setting for her Tiny Nine quilt:

Joanna did a number of quilt shops while at the beach last week and brought back Row by Row kits:

Thought you might like a close-up of Deborah's Doll Quilt that her grandmother made:

Joanna hasn't burned her fingers getting things out of the microwave since making THIS:

'

And THIS:

She also has another bag in process:

All of this brought us to Dee Dee's lunch alarm.  Four of us then went to Ixtapa Mexican Restaurant in Hillsborough, where Britt was able to join us for a tasty lunch.  Be warned:  Loud conversations can be heard throughout the small dining room.

Until next time...
Quilt on!!!
