7/2/15 - CCLQ @ Joanna's

Today, the CCLQ meeting was hosted by Joanna.  Here's hoping that someone took pictures for us! Our editor was off working her other job.  :o((

Ah!!  Someone DID take photos!  Thank you to my faithful "assistant", Deborah, who took photos during my absence.  And for your viewing pleasure...

Our quilters worked on and/or showed...

Deborah continues to keep cutting small half square triangles for the Lady of the Lake quilt. Hopefully this quilt will be finished by end of summer!

Joanna showed this quilt top made by Tonya Krout. Joanna will quilt this for Tonya (I think??) the squares were foundation pieced on very light weight interfacing:

Cheryl showed fabric that she purchased in Paducah KY and shared wonderful stories about her 6 week adventure out west:

Cheryl made this cute baby quilt:

Linda was busy cutting quilt patterns from old quilt magazines:

Joanna made this dramatic quilt for the Animal Shelter auction:

This is a new bright and colorful piece from Ella. She plans to hang it in her dining room:

Simply beautiful, Ella!!

Ruth shared these 2 magnifying devices that she found at Costco. The smaller one has tweezers attached at the base.

Ruth is making nice progress on her scarf:

Gayle is giving this beautiful quilt as a wedding gift:

Lucky bride and groom!

Joanna got lots of advice on this project. Can't wait to see the finished piece!

THIS is what Joy would have shown, had she attended today's meeting:

She thought it might be JUST the right centerpiece for the "realistic" dinosaur quilt.  Especially, since she bought it at the Museum of Life and Science!!  What do YOU think?  Will she be able to build a blue and green kid's quilt around this green and brown T-shirt design???  Let's hope so!!

Let's also hope this is the LAST meeting that our "editor" will have to miss for a good LONG time.

Until next time...
Have a safe and happy 4th!!!
