Today six members of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters met at Jean's house. We missed all who were traveling or couldn't bee there with us today!
Joy bailed on the meeting in favor of earning a few extra dollars. Sorry Quilters! How could I resist this 7 week old wonder?
Those who were with us enjoyed the following:
Jean baked homemade cranberry and macadamia nut scones with Devonshire cream! What a delightful treat!
Ruth S. shared two new blocks from the Cabin Fever quilt book. Here’s a closer view of how the blocks form a secondary pattern.
Here’s a photo of what the finished quilt will look like..the pattern is called Dazzle.
Candy worked on binding a donation quilt.
Candy also shared a pattern called “Flip Flop Flake.” This looks like an interesting quilt!
Dee Dee trimmed quite a collection of “leader and ender” blocks which she plans to use in a turtle quilt. Dee Dee also received an email or text message from Ella from Jerusalem. Ella says hello to all and is eager to see the photos on the blog!
Joanna showed an original design wall hanging using Stonehenge fabrics. Here's a closer look.
Jean has been creatively busy making samples fidget quilts for a DOQ outreach project.
Here's another one. We also enjoyed exploring the textures, buttons, and zippers.
Members of DOQ will make these fidget quilts which will be donated to memory care facilities. |
Deborah continues to work on hand quilting the "last point" her grandmother's Texas Star quilt!
Only the four background corners and four background triangles to go!!!
Willie was so eager to see all of us! He snuggled in on the couch to listen to our stories!
Four of us enjoyed lunch at Rasa Malaysia in Southern Village.
Until next time, happy quilting!
