2/25/16 - CCLQ @ Candy's

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  Seven of us met at Candy's house today.  We missed members who could not join us today.  Ella contacted us from the airport to say she missed us!  We miss you too Ella and can't wait to hear about your travels.

Candy served delicious banana chocolate chip muffins.  Sorry I didn't get a photo of those yummy treats.

Last week, the substitute blogger forgot to include this photo of Jean's wonderful Ramses Baby Quilt, so here you go!  Look at the lovely echo quilting.

                                                           Ramses Baby Quilt by Jean.

From today's show and tell........

DeeDee shared this cute cat block.  Joanna created a paper pieced pattern for it!  Meow!!!

Candy made four quilted place-mats for an engagement gift. Each place-mat has 48 tiny half-square triangles.  Look at the beautiful modern quilting and what a wonderful gift!  Candy also completed the binding on a donation quilt today!

Joanna created this wonderful vest as a gift for her sister using Laurel Burch horse fabric. Joanna worked on the binding today so this project is almost done! Joanna is on a fabric diet....a friend asked her, "Is that a low fiber diet?"  LOL!!!

DeeDee completed another lovely bird block.

DeeDee also shared a couple of new patterns.

Gayle was the first of the group to complete a block for our donation quilt!

Gayle has been busy with another one of her many talents...painting.  Aren't these wonderful!

Ruth B. has completed her knitted scarf. We all enjoyed hearing about Ruth's travels to Arizona. The museums, art galleries and gardens sound like fabulous places to visit.

Cheryl sewed the binding on one of the baby quilts.  She also shared stories of her travel adventures to  Cumberland Island, Georgia.

DeeDee sketched some birds for a collaborative summer project.

Deborah continues to hand quilt the Lone Star quilt...only two more diamonds and the last point will be quilted!

All seven of us dined at  Mebane Downtown Table.

Best wishes and safe travels to members of the group who will attend the  Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show this weekend! Take lots of photos and have fun!

Until next week,  happy quilting!
