Joy also started off Show and Tell (so that she could concentrate on taking notes!) She took a box of Joanna's narrow scrap strips and used the 2" pieces to make a really long strip for scrappy binding or a "homemade" Jelly Roll quilt:
HERE is the quilt that she WOULD have shown, had it not been delivered on Monday! She showed the phone photo, instead:
Cheryl B. escaped the camera, but HERE are the (paper pieced) blocks that she made in ONE WEEK during February and has been since then to share with us. This was her first time paper piecing and she LOVES it. She used tracing paper as her foundation to make the Jinny Beyer blocks:

Linda also had another TELL... She's buying a house in Candy's neighborhood:
Dee Dee had a TELL:
Carol had a lightning strike in her yard while she was away. She came home to find that her telephone, cable, and dog fence had been knocked out. Taking care of those things and unable to be here with us today.
Dee Dee also collected 22 blocks from our members for the Fort McMurray (Canada) fire victims:
Jean brought her "Willie" tote made for a friend...
... And issued a WARNING!! Her Ott Light that fell apart when she moved it to vacuum:
She now has to buy a new base. Ott Light Company will NOT replace it, but offers a new base for sale. That's pretty telling, if you ask me! They KNOW it's a problem and have chosen to make MORE money on the faulty item.
Willie got it into the tote that Jean made:
We also got a look at the Nausea Quilt (and 3 of us actually LIKE it!!) Cheryl B. suggested that adding a solid border may calm the quilt down:
There was discussion about Jean having learned a lesson in value as the group viewed the quilt top:

She made the "bonus" triangles (like Joy) and thinks she may be addicted! I believe that she said she has enough pinwheels for another quilt:
Ruth B. wanted us to know that she is doing things and brought a stack of blocks at proof that she is making progress on her Pinwheel Quilt:

By the time Show and Tell was done, it was time for lunch! The majority of us enjoyed a leisurely meal and wrapped up sometime around 1:00. A few of us got to see the collection of paintings that Gayle has been working on lately (instead of quilting) and Joy snapped a picture for you all to see:
