11/19/16 - NT Nights @ Hboro Library

Welcome to the SPECIAL meeting of the NT Nights Quilt Bee!!!  This time of year, we don't normally schedule to meet.  However, with Thanksgiving falling earlier in the month than normal, members of the group voted to have an extra meeting this month.  We ended the evening with eight members in attendance.

REMINDER:  There will be NO NT Nights MEETING in December!!!  Our next meeting will be scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2017.  Hope to see you all next year!!

Take a look at what went on at the November meeting...

Joy brought some Quilting Arts magazines for everyone to have a look at.  Jean was clearing out and is passing these around:

Here's Carol, enjoying a browse:

Margaret worked on squaring up some HSTs for the Star Blocks shown in the foreground of the photo below:

Fabrics and pattern for Leslie's next quilt:

Joy worked on the layout for her next T-Quilt:

Britt's been playing with her "warm and cozy" strings:

HERE is how far she has gotten on the new project:

Margaret completed the quilt top that she began at Britt's Sew Day:

Smile, Margaret:

Not sure HOW a photo of Leslie was missed, but this shot shows one possible fabric alignment:

And a slight variation:

Victoria finished the knitting on her slippers:

Margaret made FOUR blocks from the DOQ Holiday FQ:

Joy showed off the earrings that she bought at Quilt Camp:

Britt is trying to figure out a way to complete this quilt WITHOUT making any more applique blocks:

With the quilt layout set, Joy got to work on her Quaker Yarn Stretcher.  You can find the pattern on Ravelry:

Carol did some stitching on her Grandson's Halloween Quilt:

Kirsten worked on a cowl made with Noro Yarn:

Britt listened intently while preparing MORE applique patches:

Cheryl B. showed off some of her Puff patches:

As well as this beautiful completed quilt top:

Here's a wider view of the quilt:

Oops!!  Cheryl is right side up, but the quilt is upside down:

THIS is a closer look at the Puff patches, but the glare didn't improve our ability to see how they were made:

Until next time...
Happy Holidays!!!
