12/15/16 - CCLQ @ Ruth B's

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!!  Ruth B. was kind enough to host today.  Eight quilters were greeted with the scents of fresh brewed coffee and cinnamon muffins hot from the oven.  The chatter was minimal (due to all of the chewing and moaning in cinnamon induced pleasure.)

On to the Show and Tell...

Ella has been practicing her feathers:

Joy will use these fabrics to make a coffee cup ornament:

Jean is knitting a new scarf:

Ruth S. is sewing down the binding on a Donation Quilt:

Candy is knitting:

Joanna concentrated on finishing a tea wallet:

Joy made the EIGHT Christmas Trees...

... And is in the process of making four more:

Joy also passed around a photo of her four completed coffee cup ornaments.  HERE is a photo BEFORE they were sewn closed and given away to members of her Knit Group:

Deborah was busy on a knitting project:

She also brought a bear panel the she recently purchased...

... Along with some fun quilt shop fabric:

Here is a cozy  flannel quilt top that Deborah just finished:

Ruth B. worked on ripping out some seams:

Ella had a birthday...

... And received her Birthday Bracelet from Jean:

It's simply stunning:

Jean made a Cat Bag out of recycled materials:

The inside lining (and applique) was a silk tunic in a prior life:

Jean brought along her 64 project for Cheryl K. to see:

It was decorated with references to the Beatles and the number "64" in honor of her husband's 64th birthday a number of years ago:

Joanna showed off her new Tea Wallet:

This is the interior of the wallet:

Joy completed her Quaker Yarn Stretcher during the meeting:

Until next time...
Quilt til you wilt!!!
