Welcome to the Early September meeting of the NT Nights Quilt Bee!! We drifted in one by one, eventually gathering 7 of us on this particular occasion. One guest was added to our numbers.
Joy was first on the scene with (dinner and) a few projects to share, but Margaret arrived and her project is SEW much more interesting:
She's working on it Quilt as you Go:
Carol is also working on a QAYG project:
Margaret brought scraps for Joy:
Carol did some trimming on her blocks:
Margaret was trimming for additional blocks:
This evening, Barb joined us, after she saw our meeting listed in the newsletter for the Center. She has a couple of quilts that she would like to finish and decided to come find out how to proceed:
She shared this lovely QAYG Pineapple project that her MIL left behind and with a little bit of rearranging...
... We hit on an awesome design:
Barb also asked about how to begin to translate her vision for a quilt for her brother. It will have a T-shirt in the center and finish off as a Crazy Quilt of sorts. Our members talked her through the process that would be necessary.
Patti worked on binding a donation quilt:
Joy shared her most recent donation finish:
She also had the base of a green scrap basket:
Here is a closer look:
Joy worked on closing up a new denim pin cushion:
All done with the cube-shaped pin cushion:
Karen W. prepared pieces for a new Jingle Ball:
Kirsten was busy knitting a cowl:
Patti shared the top of the quilt she was binding:
Stephanie determined square placement for several more blocks:
This quilt is going to be SEW gorgeous:
It was another busy night in Quilt Land.
Until next time...
