1/2/20 - CCLQ @ Carol's

Welcome to the first meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters for the year 2020!!  The first meeting of the new decade was held at Carol's house.  There were 13 members in attendance.  That is a rare (but happy) occurrence for our group.

It took the better part of a half-hour for everyone to settle and be seated.  You would think it had been a month since we saw each other instead of only the two weeks that it has actually been!  LOL

Anyway, once everyone had gotten coffee and a snack, chatted with her neighbor, and found a seat, we were finally able to begin...

Show and Tell:

Candy started us off with...

A quilt she made from the pattern that Joanna figured our for Ella:

Look at the lovely backing fabric she has chosen:

Ruth B. had nothing to show:

Ella's photo refused to cooperate.  She also had nothing to show:

Dee Dee had news.  Good and bad...

... But, managed one of her radiant smiles for us:

Ruth S. stitched as everyone chatted:

Gayle also brought a project to work on:

Britt was a rebel and worked on a crochet project:

The following photo is part of Dee Dee's Show and Tell...

Here is a closer look at the detailed stitching:

Cheryl K. shows off the calendar that Joanna brought for her:

Joanna knew that she might like to try her hand at these Bird Quilts:

Joanna brought no project to share, but told of her Holiday (mis)adventures:

It turned out that Joy was able to join us today and she was pleased to show off her newly turned heel:

The artist and the new owner:

Joy shared the quilty gifts she received and had to fight to get them back at the end of Show and Tell:

Ruth S. is making progress on quilting the Fish Quilt:

She passed out gifts to members who weren't at last week's meeting:

Margaret found a way to use the selvages from her Holiday fabric:

Here is her newest completed quilt made of flannel with Sherpa on the back:

Britt passed around the pattern that she got from Lynda for Christmas:

She's making good progress on her new crocheted shawl:
