6/4 - CCLQ @ ZoomBEE

Welcome to this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilt Bee!!  In order to remain in contact during the time of COVID-19, our group has been meeting online for the past two and a half months.  Thank you to our scheduler, Deborah, and to today's fill-in hostess, Carol.

Here we are BEFORE...

... And AFTER Britt joined in this morning:

As evidenced by the photos above, Jean was unable to be with us today.  These photos were the best I was able to do.  The NEW Blogger isn't making things any easier!  :o((

SHOW AND TELL...

(Not necessarily in the order you might recall, if you attended!)

Deborah...

... Finished the suitcase she was making and remembered that every suitcase needs a luggage tag...

... And something to go inside!  She made a sun hat:

It's reversible:

Joy...

... Has been busy and started off by sharing her latest Picket Star block:

She is also working on another Quilted Scrap Basket using her PINK scraps and has completed the first row of her slab panel:

Joy is also making a PINK mini for the Gallery Wire in her studio and asked for input concerning these border options:

This sweet little Slab block in PINK (shown below) will grow up to be another Kitchen Quilt to add to her growing collection of small quilts to correspond with each Color of the Month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

Dee Dee...

... Was busy taking the paper...

... Out of her Storm at Sea, which is now in four quadrants:

This is what happens when our members don't pause long enough after sharing their projects or fabrics.  Can YOU tell what's in the photo below?  I can't either!  :P

Dee Dee was kind enough show us again, so YOU could see her eyeglass case in progress:

These are the fabrics she plans to use to for her Pineapple Pieces block:

Linda...

... Had nothing to show, but she's made a few masks and is just trying to get through the next couple of week until... RETIREMENT:

Britt...

... Made a knitting bag for her sister's birthday:

The shot below give you a better idea of what the bag REALLY looks like:

She also finished the top of her son's college graduation quilt:

This is a better look at the rich colors:

Britt is using this fabric that she got in Guatemala...

... And added black borders to create a cushion for a window seat:

Lynda Mac...

... Shared a phone photo of her Summer Blossom V quilt in progress:

We got a quick look at the single row that she has assembled...

Later, Linda forwarded a better photo of her progress:

Ruth B...

... Has been making masks and is pleased to report that she has added more blocks for her quilt up on the design wall:

Ella...

... Reported that her friend Debbie left this morning.  They both got a lot done. Ella found MORE sunflower fabric in her stash:

Here's a close-up of the batik sunflower beauty:

Barry dropped in to say hello to everyone:

Joanna...

... Has a number of project parts on her design wall:

She is busy contemplating the projects she will take to the beach with her.  This pattern...

... In these fabrics, made the cut:

Maggie joined us from the porch.  She was sitting right where the hot tub used to be...

... But moved inside when her DH brought out the lawn mower.  Here she is telling us that DS1 moved out and she's a little depressed:

Ruth S., with us from New York...

... Shared last night's sunset:

She showed us her fussy cut flowers:

Later, Ruth sent a photo so we could better see the wall hanging:

Carol...

... Showed a phone photo of her completed Postage Stamp quilt:

She also finished her scrappy Music Bag:

Carol used her Crazy Quilt blocks on the other side of the bag:

Later, Carol sent a photo showing the true colors of the top of her Postage Stamp quilt:

EDITOR'S NOTE:

Please contact Joy, if you find that any corrections need to be made in this post.

Speaking of this post...

This is going to be Deborah's expression when she discovers that I've finished it already:

Until next time...
