10/15/15 - CCLQ @ Joy's

Hello, CCLQ-ers!  SEVEN quilters converged at Joy's house this week.  Travel plans (and a hip replacement) kept the others away.

Got rain???

NOT this time!!!  It was a BEAUTIFUL, sunny day.  :o))

Linda was with us today, but left for a dental appointment, only to meet up with those of us who went to lunch following the meeting:

Joanna was enjoying the Cranberry Orange Bars that Joy made this morning:

Deborah had nothing but her Grandmother's Star Quilt today (but we LOVE seeing it each time!) and she shared the news that she is off to visit her Grandson tomorrow  (Have FUN!!!):

Jean was playing with a few more of her beautiful rayon scarves:

Ella came empty-handed:

Joy applied a label...

... To THIS quilt (pieced by Marsha):

Gayle brought her applique pieces to work on, but was feeling poorly:

She perked up enough to show us that she only has TWO more quilts to make in order to complete her Donation Quilt "52 Quilts in 52 Weeks" Challenge:

Joanna is making a new vest.  Only the binding stands between her and a completed article of colorful clothing:

The "fabric" is made from couched yarns:

Dee Dee made an appearance via text at 11:30.  She couldn't miss the opportunity to tell us that it was time to go to lunch... even when she's away on vacation!!!

Where to this week???

Ixtapa in Hillsborough, North Carolina.  Everything is FRESH, DELICIOUS, and made from SCRATCH.  You may have to wait longer to be served, but the food is well worth the wait!!!

Best of all... Britt was able to join us for lunch today!!!  :o))

Until next time...
Keep calm and quilt on!!!
