9/22/16 CCLQ @ Deborah's

Remember last September?  Several of the quilters in this group packed up our sewing machines and traveled all the way to Wolcott, NY on Lake Ontario to visit Ruth S.  What a wonderful, wonderful quilting retreat!  Ruth thought of everything to make our adventure an exceptional one.

This week six Cherry Creek Lane Quilters met at Deborah's. Today's treat included strawberry bars, a version of the Raspberry Bars recipe.

Candy worked on the binding for a Very Hungry Caterpillar Quilt made by a friend.

Jean worked on the half-square triangles for her majestic mountain quilt.

Ella brought a bundle of patterns to donate the DOQ's NC Quilt Symposium gift bags. 

Dee Dee shared this delightful antique quilt that she found for a bargain price at Alamance Hospice Flea Market Shop.

Dee Dee showed her completed bird quilt top. But wait...take a closer look at what DeeDee has planned for this delightful quilt.

Dee Dee stenciled feathers....

berries, wood grain....

and berries with color as possibilities for the brown spaces and maybe border? Stay tuned to see the next reveal.

Ruth B worked on her applique project and had a tell about dishwasher disasters!

Deborah showed the fabric she purchased at the Thimble Pleasures estate sale for Diane.

Deborah also showed the completed quilt top for her sister in law...now on to the quilting!!!

Ella recommended a new restaurant in Carrboro...Sushi Nikko.  We were so happy to have Gayle join us for lunch! We miss you Gayle!!!
