CCLQ on 9/15 at DeeDee's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  Seven quilters met at DeeDee's home. DeeDee treated us to French press coffee and delicious and nutritious homemade cake.

Joy started off "show and tell" with three awesome knitting bags.
Britt joined us today and shared this lovely bag she made for her mom.
Here's a close up of the zipper pull.  Britt added a tiny ring to make it fit better.
Joy shared this beautiful arm warmer that she's knitting...no, she's not having an acupuncture treatment.

Britt and Joy say good bye!  They're off to a quilting workshop at the Western NC Quilt Guild.
The workshop is with Deborah Boschert.
Jean was busy trimming more half square triangles.
Candy was working on llama applique.
Deborah shared the beginnings of a quilt for her sister-in-law's birthday.
Wonder Woman!  DeeDee showed this cool novelty print fabric.
DeeDee also shared a new leaf shaped ruler.
Luck strikes again!  DeeDee is the proud recipient of Ben Franklin from Nonnie.  Much debate on who is Nonnie?
DeeDee also shared a new tool...a very sleek, cool light box. Here's a link to find it: Litup
DeeDee has been busy making wooden fish.
Remember last week when Ella was deciding on fabrics for a Christmas quilt?  Here it is!  Beautiful work Ella.

DeeDee prepares to carry out several bags of donation quilts. Members of Ella's church will go to Louisiana to help the flood victims.  Quilts will be given to families there.

Remember to work on your designs for the Police Support Quilts.  Our bee will review designs on October 6th.

Until next week...
