First up, Show and Tell...
Joy shared her Police Quilt:
Along with her completed En Provence block:
And two of the blocks for this year's Rainbow Scrap Challenge...
The Scrap Jar Star:
As well as, her Slab Star which will work up like the 2015 Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler Quilt:
Cheryl K. made a Crane Bag for her son's girlfriend:
She also made a scrappy blue Stack and Slash Log Cabin quilt, but I don't recall who the recipient will be:
Carol made another 9-Patch Baby Quilt from her stash. I think I heard that Gayle will quilt it:
Dee Dee had nothing to show. Her TELL is that she bought a denim jacket that fit nicely. She planned to paint it, but decided to paint on canvas first. SIX coats and the background isn't done:
Ruth B. worked on depapering HST during the meeting:
Candy has been busy making items for Dana's market:
Wallets...
And a stack of microwave bowl holders:
Gayle made a Rain Princess wall hanging...
Also, an Autumn Landscape wall hanging:
Let's not forget her Floral Pillow, started at Family House Sew Day:
Here is a close-up of the pillow:
The landscape was made with fabric, acrylic paint, and oil pastels:
The Rain Princess wall hanging was made with similar techniques:
Awesome combination of quilting and painting skills, Gayle!!
Britt also showed off her En Provence blocks:
Quite different from Joy's block:
Britt started a NEW project:
Geese Migration is the name of the pattern:
She is also organizing her fabric storage with Comic Book Boards:
Ruth B. showed off her Police Quilt:
Candy brought a "scrap infusion" for Joy:
Then, a bit of business... which I posted at the top (for people who don't read all the way to the bottom of the page.)
Questions:
Britt took a poll regarding loop or straight key chains for Dana's market. If memory serves, loops won out.
Ruth B. asked about small sewing machines. She would like to purchased one for taking to quilt events. She found one at the dump, but missed it by a matter of steps! :o((
Finally, a delicious lunch...
... Compliments of the members in attendance. Yum!!
Until next time...
Quilting is more fun with friends!!!
