2/9/16: CCLQ at Joanna's

"In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends," from the Stitching Cow .

I'm so grateful for this quilting group!  We help in other not only in matters of quilting, but folks are more than willing to step up when changes in our schedule occur and when support is needed for every aspect of life! A very big THANK YOU to Joanna for hosting this week's meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters!  It was Deborah's turn, but due to renovation madness at her house, she was not able to host bee or attend. Another big THANK YOU to DeeDee for taking photos and notes of the meeting for the weekly blog so our readers don't miss out on all the wonderful projects made by our group.

Joanna created this wonderful  "Josephine's Knot" quilt. Excellent use of color Joanna!

Joanna made this Christmas tree pattern called, "Would You Believe?" Love the 3-D effect of this one!

Please turn your head to the right, to see Ella and DeeDee's police support quilt.
Close up of the wonderful quilting on this piece.  Well done DeeDee and Ella!

DeeDee trial block...violet or posey?
Ruth S is working on the binding for the sample quilt which will be a donation quilt.
Candy brought these books to give away. Candy also gave out the labels for the back of the police support quilts.

Ruth B finished the quilting on her police support quilt. Nice work Ruth.

Cheryl K has finished the top of this awesome Wonky Log Cabin quilt which will be a gift for a friend.

Cheryl is also working on a quilted bag for her son's girlfriend.
Joanna quilted this gorgeous quilt for one of Cheryl's friends.

Please forgive the photos that did not rotate properly.  I rotated them after importing them, but they reverted to the original when added to the blog.  Always more to learn with technology. :)

More than likely.... the group went to Bennett Point Grill and enjoyed a delicious lunch!

Until next week,  "quilt till you wilt!"
