2 members of Nimble Thimbles, 1 member of Cherry Creek Lane Quilters, along with 5 "Double Dippers" traveled to Savannah, Georgia for a Modern Quilt extravaganza. The 8 quilters were split between 2 cars and 2 departure times, an early "bus" and a late "bus." Willie wanted to stowaway with the early group:
What is QuiltCon?
"QuiltCon is the international conference and show by and for The Modern Quilt Guild. The biggest modern quilting event of its kind, QuiltCon features top modern quilting instructors and will attract attendees from around the world. It includes a juried modern quilt show with cash prizes, vendors, lectures, workshops from top modern quilters, and more."
The show was somewhat different to other big quilt shows. Fresh categories, interesting quilt challenges, and vendor equipped with of the Modern Quilt trade occupied the Savannah International Trad and Convention Center.
