5/17/18 - CCLQ @ Dee Dee's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week we met at DeeDee's.  What a wonderful group of friends with lots of beautiful show and tell.  We all enjoyed meeting Candy's niece from Norway.

DeeDee shared this book, loaded lots of great ideas and techniques. Check out Nine Patch Revolution by Jennifer Dick and Angela Walters or borrow the book from DeeDee!

DeeDee showed this lovely batik...maybe it's going in a nine patch quilt?

DeeDee gave this lovely fabric to Candy!

Candy was delighted!  Looks like a Malaysian print?

Candy warned us, "Be prepared to laugh!"

This was Candy's first quilt!  We all loved it and we all commented that we remembered those colors from the 1980's!

Candy asked for advice on quilting her lovely yellow quilt.

Not sure how one of Nick's (DeeDee's cat) toys got on this quilt.

Gayle brought this DVD on how to do corded binding as a give away...not sure who took it home.

Jean found this jean coat at a thrift shop and embellished it with a lovely machine embroidery.

Close up...do you see the blue rose in the center of the butterfly?  Gorgeous!!

Jean made these lovely cross body bags.  She plans to teach this at Family House.  She will share the pattern with everyone via email.  Check out the close ups of the embroidery below.

Jean found this cool fabric at Pineapple Fabrics .

Ruth bought these lovely fabrics at Pineapple for her Blooming Nine Patch challenge.

Joanna was busy trimming hour glass blocks.

Deborah finally finished the top of the baby quilt!  Now on to quilting and getting this ready before her granddaughter arrives!

Until next time, don't worry, quilt happy!
