5/31/18: CCLQ at Ruth B's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  Ruth B hosted eight quilters this week.

DeeDee plans to make a sleeveless top with the fabric shown.  DeeDee's friend Linda brought the fabric from somewhere in her travels.

Ella finished two beautiful placemats for her sister.

Jean found this holiday pattern for a train quilt that she plans to make for Rick's friend.

Jena also shared this "In the Hoop" pattern for a zipper bag.
Surprise!!!  Jean made embroidered squares for everyone in the group to make a cross body bag! Can't wait to see  the bag collection from this group. Thank you Jean!!!!

Joanna is finishing up this nice purple summer house coat made from shot cotton fabric.

Gayle is almost finished binding this dazzling Bonnie Hunter "Diamond Tile" quilt.  Gayle reported that she had the most fun fussy cutting the center squares with fabrics from her stash.

Ruth B showed more of her churn dash blocks. She  chose a new sashing color for this quilt.

Joy found some navy Batik binding to finish off this mug rug. Joy also shared that she has finished cutting all the squares for her Blooming Nine Patch!
Britt sent us a photo of this wonderful Blooming Nine Patch quilt for her niece.

Deborah shared a "tell" about her friend, Ziek, from New York. Last year, Deborah made a quilt from blocks given to her by Ziek.  One year later, Ziek is now back into quilting after almost a 25 year hiatus!  Yay!

Until next time,  happy quilting.
