8/23/18: CCLQ at Ruth B's

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Cherry Creek Lane Quilters.  This week seven quilters met at the home of Ruth B. Our weekly get togethers are a blend of creative collaboration and inspiration at it's best.  This week Cheryl K shared fabrics from a shop hop in Ohio! Take a look to see the lovely fabrics she found.

Cheryl could not resist sharing this sign from in a quilt shop in Ohio.  Read on the see what treasures Cheryl found.
But first....let's see what other quilters shared.

Candy made two quilts like this...one for her niece and one for her home.

Take a look at this nice zig zag quilting design on Candy's quilt.

Joanna announced that she has finished the quilting on Ella's Kansas Quilt.  We can't wait to see it!

Margaret made this quilted piece and will make a bag similar to one in her lap.

Margaret found this wonderful cat fabric in a  quilt shop in Winston Salem.

Here's a picture of the Seeing Stars Quilt.

Cheryl K made this sweet baby quilt.

Cheryl went on a shop hop in Ohio and found lots of lovely fabric. This will be the flannel back for the baby quilt.

Lovely brainy blue fabric

Beautiful batik

One of these reds will be an accent color in a quilt for Cheryl's son and daughter-in-law.

Nice backing fabric

The quilt for Cheryl's son and daughter-in-law will have these grays.

Lynda and Britt went to Pineapple Fabric's sale last week and Lynda found some beautiful fabrics. Click on the link to find out about Pineapple's next sale.

Lynda found the just right colors in this jelly roll.

Deborah shared this photo of a play mat made for her granddaughter using Laurel Burch fabrics. The pattern for the play mat is free on Thoughts and Thimbles Blog.

Deborah remembered this week to bring the Postage Stamp Quilt made by her great-grandmother perhaps in the 1930's.

One inch blocks, hand pieced.  Now to decide whether to hand-quilt this heirloom or tie it.
Thanks to Ruth B for hosting this week!

Quilters dined at Gugelhupf Cafe and Bakery in Durham.

Until next time, happy quilting!
